Dr. Alexander norris, Trumpet

Dr. Alexander Norris, trumpeter, is an accomplished performer, composer, arranger, and educator in New York City. In addition to the Mingus Big Band, Mingus Dynasty, and Mingus Orchestra, he works with Ron Carter, Pat Martino, Maria Schneider, Helen Sung, Amina Figarova, Kyle Eastwood, and other jazz and Latin jazz artists. He earned degrees from the Manhattan School of Music and University of Miami, and teaches at the City College of New York, University of Arkansas, and the Peabody Conservatory of Music.
